www.hawaii-aloha.com – A couple of weeks ago we sponsored the Shrimp Truck Trek tour to see if we can find the best Shrimp Truck in Hawaii. The most striking of our Shrimp Truck Trek, was the fact that most of those trucks parked along the roadside in rural Oahu are remarkably similar. All are covered with graffiti, all offer the same interpretations of the same dishes, and all are operated by people with accents not common to residents of the North Shore. The point is that any stop at a shrimp truck on Oahu’s North Shore is an endeavor worthy of photos, of blogging and of posterity. As a final bit of advice, Ill suggest bringing your own roll of paper towels and some breath freshener.

Softbank – New Japanese Mobile Phones for 2010
Softbank Mobile Corp. unveiled new cell phones Tuesday boasting applications for the micro-blogging service Twitter. Softbank CEO Masayoshi Son, an avid user of Twitter, said the move is aimed at making it easier for more people to “tweet,” or comment, via their cell phones. The number of Twitter users in Japan has been growing rapidly, but not many people were using the medium through cell phones except for iPhone users, which Softbank offers, he said. Son said he thought it would be useful to preinstall the applications on the firm’s new products, adding that Softbank worked with US-based Twitter Inc. to provide the official Twitter Widget. “I think the day is coming when people will think if there is no Twitter (application), it’s not a cell phone,” he said during a news conference in Tokyo. Twitter had 108 million users worldwide as of April. Ever since he began using the service in December, Son said his life has changed because it connects him with many other users. As of Tuesday, he had more than 287400 followers. “The first thing I do in the morning is check Twitter,” said Son, adding he also uses it while at work and before going to bed. “At first, I started using it for my business,” he said. “But I just can’t help enjoying it so much.” The news conference was broadcast live via Ustream, a free online live video broadcast. Make Money Blogging – How To Do It
Making money blogging has been overlooked in the past. But not many people realize that it is a very good source to use for extra income if you do it properly.
Alot of bloggers are ignorant don’t know you can make money blogging. There is a big difference between professional and amateur bloggers. The easiest way that professionals do this is from their own website or a blog directory attached to their website. i.e. http://www.website.com/blog.
Another option is to operate their blog from a Google host such as blogger blog, or use WordPress from http://Wordpress.com. The steps to set this up is to simply register for an account and then make some posts. The only thing that is seen as big negative in the blogging communities is the lack of individuality and the way the blog can be formatted, however you can hire a programmer to change the look and the format if you are not happy with it.
From a technical point of view the internet is used for many things, however, alot of people use it as a source of fun and entertainment, as opposed to business, This is why some people it is impossible to make money blogging. In this day and age there are so many different topics online and people are willing to pay for almost anything if the info is good. So there is really a sure way to make money blogging. Before blogs were specialized applications, they were used for just sharing information. But as the internet has transformed now, you can actually see that the high traffic blogs bring in thousands of dollars each and every month. So it is not impossible to make money blogging.
However, you can’t just be slap happy, and put ads up infront of viewers. They want a reason to come to your blog, and return at a later time. To do this you have to make your information high quality and fun. Give the user the highest amount info and make their experience fun to entice them back repeatedly.
The most common way to make money blogging is from from the Blogspot site or WordPress from http://Wordpress.com, but a blog on your own website is the way to go as well.
You can also use blogging software to make your blog post smoother and more flexible in the way your post your blogs and format them. Especially if you are adding, sound, pictures. You have a lot more flexibility in how you want to format your blog, and in the features contained within it.
The most common way to make money blogging is by placing ads in strategic positions in and around your blog. Sidebars, headers and footers are always utilized, and depending on your amount of visitors.
Another effective way to make money is the use of adding a link to affiliate products that are popular and convert well. You could plug other blogs, or niche products that convert well and have a good percentage profit. Adsense blocks in headers and footers are a good way to earn extra revenue also.
With widgets you can add hundreds of these to help make money blogging with SEO, thru auto XML set up to help when you blog ping. It is ideal to advertise your product or service in the end of your posts. That way if people like your info and want more they can click your link. Alot of people become buyers that way.
As you can see it is not that hard to make money blogging or from your blogs. You can see that it really doesn’t take much work to turn amateur blogs into professional one. You really can make money 24/7 while you sleep, and if you give people great content, and keep them interested then. Keep in touch with them while you sell to others.

This article is not intended to provide you with a host of blogging tips, but simply to guide those of you who have either just started or have been blogging for a while but have some bad habits.
Bad blogging habits are easy to get into, and one of the worst is to leave your ‘About’ page unchanged. You know the page: it is provided by WordPress as standard and a whole host of bloggers leave it unchanged. Why they do this is known only to them, because this is the first page that a large number of first-time visitors to a blog check out, and the reason why many of them leave without looking further.
All you have to do is to say a little about yourself, who you are, and what your blog is about, why you feel qualified to write a blog about this topic and how you can be contacted. If your blog covers a particular niche, rather than being simply a log of personal comments, then your potential readers will want to know why they should believe what you say by reading your credentials on the subject.
There is nothing wrong with having a personal blog about your personal thoughts on things, but if you are presenting yourself as a form of expert on a specific topic, then you will have to persuade readers that you have a right to do so. You should use your ‘About’ page to do that.
Another tip you should take is to claim your blog with Technorati. This registers it as yours with Technorati, and you can get a whole load more visitors. Since joining Technorati most of my blogs’ traffic rocketed. It takes a while for new blogs to get going, but it’s a lot easier if you make use of sites such as Technorati. The same is true of most of the social bookmarking sites if traffic is important to you. If you are using a blog to promote a product, then this is essential.
If you have a website then don’t get lazy and be content to run your blog from a hosting site such as wordpress.com. It is better to download the software from wordpress.org, and host your own blog. You have much more control over the look and feel of it, and can use any of the thousands of plugins that are available online. You can also use any template you want, or even design your own. That way you get total customization of your blog pages, and can make it more distinctive than the majority hosted on WordPress or Blogger’s site. These are the two main tips that any blogger should take if they intend to blog seriously. However, was I to provide the third most important tip for anybody interested in blogging, then it would be to monetize your blog. Don’t blog for nothing. If your blog concerns a specific niche subject you can likely throw up one or two affiliate programs on your sidebar so that they appear with your new posts. A three column blog is useful for this, since your regular sidebar will generally be full of permanent links.
If you monetize using Adsense, a three column layout is even more essential, since you will want a vertical block down one of the columns, in addition to some at the bottom and the middle. A good Adsense layout would be a column to the left or right of the main text column containing a vertical ad unit, a horizontal link unit at the bottom of the blog, and also a horizontal ad unit at the bottom of the latest post. You could also include a search box at the top or bottom of your main sidebar that allows a search either on Google, from which you get income, or on your blog.
You could also include one of your websites as a second search option, providing three altogether. The income might not be a lot, but most blogs with a few hundred visitors a day should be able to make from $10 to $20 daily minimum, depending on the niche. All you need are a few blogs like that.
These are my three main blogging tips. Yours would likely be different, since blogging is a very personal thing, but if you take these three on board you will likely find that you will get more visitors, have more fun and also be able to put a bit put aside for the holidays or that unexpected bill that always comes at the wrong time.
